Petrified wood from the river is the most suitable as memorial stone. It is the hardest material and therefore the least vulnerable.

Petrified wood from the river usually has a beautiful brown colour and a more or less smooth texture. It has been polished by water for millions of years. Often there are small pebbles stuck in the structure of the wood.
